Air Hogs Switchblade - R/C Airplane Stunt Flier

Spin Master has a new Air Hogs remote controlled toy called Switchblade. The Air Hogs Switchblade is a unique flying toy because it both hovers like a UFO for take off and then in mid air it can morph and fly like a jet airplane. There is a button on the remote control that allows the Switchblade to transform while in flight.

Before its first flight, you need to have 8 AA batteries for the remote control, which also acts as a charger for the Switchblade. The Switchblade will need to charge for 30 minutes or until the green light flashed on the controller to indicate it’s ready for flight. You’ll also need to be in an area with a lot of room, like a park because learning to fly this thing can be a bit tricky for first time pilots. The Switchblade will spin and hover, like a flying saucer, until the pilot learns how to control the trim.

Once the Switchblade is at a good height the pilot can push the morph button on the remote and in mid air the Switchblade will transform into a plane. Using the knobs on the controller, the pilot can control the ascension, speed and direction of the Air Hogs Switchblade.

When you take it out of the box you will have one remote control plane and a controller/charger with antenna.  You will also get a launch base for easy take off from the ground but it can also be launched from the hand.  Also included is a wind speed/direction ribbon and four extra propellers just in case there is a bad landing.  

This remote control plane is constructed from durable polyfoam and can handle some hard landings but it’s a good idea to just get started with hovering and learning to land before morphing into the plane and just remember to elevate the Switchblade to at least 50 feet before morphing to give the pilot time to adjust to the new angle, speed and direction.
