Babolat Tennis Racquets

Babolat is a France based tennis company that produces some of the finest professional quality tennis racquets on the market and used by dozens of professional tennis players.  They have a variety of racquet series, including the Babolat Drive, the Babolat Control, the Babolat Storm, and the Aero series. Each of these series of racquets have multiple frame designs and can be recognized by the double line across the strings and also on the frame.  Babolat also has a line of racquets just for juniors and are relatively inexpensive compared to their pro lines.  For the junior racquets, expect to pay half the price of the pro line.

The Babolat Pure Drive is light weight at 10.6 oz and has a large head at 100 sq. in. and is 27 inches long.  The frame and strings give the impression of high performance and the stripes remind you of racing stripes.  The large head is both stable and maneuverable and the light weight may take some getting use to if your tennis player is comfortable with a heavier racquet.  However this racquet was designed to minimize the drag through the air and increase the hitting power. 

The Babolat Pure Control is slightly heavier and a half inch longer than the Pure Drive racquets.  The heavier swing weight and length lends to increased leverage and the feel of higher power.  The Control features the Woofer technology which makes the frame and strings interact when hitting the ball reducing vibration and enhances the feel for the ball.

The Babolat Storm series is a heavier racquet at 12.1 oz and have a smaller head size at 98 sq. in and at 27 inches in total length this gives the Storm racquet a much stronger and heavier feel than the racquets mentioned above.  The Storm utilizes the vibration dampening Cortex Technology which increases their performance and enhances its maneuverability.  This series racquet is ideal for intermediate to advanced level players.
