UNO Flash

Everyone knows UNO, right? UNO is the card game where each player has to place a card in the discard pile by matching either the same color, same number or by use of wild cards.  Players take turns moving clockwise and if there a player has no matching cards to discard then he must take a card from the draw pile.  Play continues and UNO is called when a player has one card remaining.  If the player does not call UNO then he has to draw 2 more cards.  The first player to discard all their cards wins the round.

Well, those are the rules of the original UNO game and of course there are plenty new versions of the game and most of the rules are the same, except…  Enter UNO Flash, the newest version of UNO by Mattel.

UNO Flash is an electronic version of UNO.  The matching of cards until none are left is still the object of the game, except in this version the play is totally random.  No more clockwise or counter-clockwise turn based play.  The electronic base flashes lights in front of the player and the player must quickly respond or lose his turn. Game play is fast so the players must stay alert.

UNO has always been a favorite family style card game and this version of it will entertain just the same.  But in the heat of the game and when it’s time, don’t forget to yell UNO!

Man, reading this sure brings back memories! Me and my brothers and sisters used to play this all the time. A fight usually broke out before a winner could be declared! Thanks for sharing this as the new version is sure to make a great gift.
