5 Awesome Twitter Tools To Help You Get Your Tweet On

 While constantly on the lookout for bigger and better ways to marketing my articles I occasionaly hit gold as I did when I discovered Twitter.com.  Twitter has been an amazing, if somewhat unusual, social networking tool. 

At first, my goal was to get as many followers as I could so I could post links and drive traffic to my artticles.  I was certain this would be an amaizing and easy article marketing experience.  I discovered tools to help me follow and be followed by other twitter users.  Not just any twitters users though, I wanted targeted twitter users because these are the followers that would be most interested in what I was marketing. 

Since it is impossible for me to be on twitter all of the time, I needed to find a way to get my tweets posted even when I could not post them myself. And to be more productive, I needed to send tweets that my followers want to know about.

Below, I am sharing several of the applications that I have discovered to help me in my twitter experiment. 

 

http://refollow.com/refollow/index.html    This is one of the best Twitter bulk unfollow/follow tools around.  You can manage all of your twitter followers and friends effectively.  The key benefits are the ability to unfollow users that do not follow you and the ability to follow users from another users account.    Let's say you find a follower that is on a similar marketing campaign as yourself and this follower has hundreds of other followers.  Well with Refollow you can follow everyone in that users account.  Follow the new users for a while and if they do not follow you back then you can purge them from your follow list.   Plus you can lock users so that the bulk unfollow operation doesn't drop your friends.  Of course the best option if you are using Twitter for marketing purposes is to have a separate account to keep up with friends.

 

http://twollow.com/    This has an application that allows you to find followers on Twitter by using keywords.  The free application allows you to use 5 keywords or phrases and will find up to 15 users ever 7 days.  You can change your keywords anytime you like.  This tool allows you to find people with the same interests as you or you can track what people are saying about your product or web site.  They also offer a premium account that allows you to track more keywords.  

 

http://www.twaitter.com/    This is a great tool to use in your marketing campaign.  Twaitter allows you to schedule tweets for anytime of the day.  You can also schedule tweets daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.  Also your tweets can be posted recursively based on your recur options.  You can stop the recurring tweets too by specifying the number of tweets or an end date.

 

http://dailyrt.com/     This is a site where you can keep up on all the popular retweets on twitter.  You can view live tweets, hot tweets, or view trends.  This is especially helpful when you are brainstorming for ideas to write about because right at your fingertips is this application that shows what is popular right now among the millions of twitter users.
