Nerf Stampede - Nerf Guns

The Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS is the most technologically advanced soft dart gun ever produced by Nerf.  This is the toy gun that every boy has on his wish list.  The Nerf Stampede is fully automatic and has the look and the feel of a real military machinegun.  This toy gun lets the kid get right in the action just like their favorite video games like Halo and Call of Duty.  The gun is 15 inches wide, 30 inches long, and weighs a slim 6 pounds. 

This toy comes with 60 darts which get placed in three clips of 18 and a quick clip of 6.  It has a blast shield which can be lowered and also has collapsible biped legs which are used for support and balance while attacking from the ground.  This is the gun that will give your kid the edge in any neighborhood Nerf war.  Of course its all fun and games and a way for young boys to exhaust any built up aggression and allow them the feel and experience of their favorite action heroes.  The darts can fly up to 30ft, but they’re made of plastic with soft foam tips. 

Of course this review of the Nerf Stampede would not be complete if I did not mention some of the drawbacks, if that’s what you want to call them.  First, since the gun Is fully automatic its mechanism must run on 6DD batteries which are not included.  There is no manual function or plunger function so without the batteries the gun cannot operate.

The dart system can sometimes get jammed, usually because of the way the darts were loaded, but the jam can easily be cleared through a sliding opening above the guns bolt.  The Nerf Stampede ECS is on the pricey end of Nerf guns at right around $54 and it’s because the demand for the N-Strike gun is so high.  Great bargains can be found on the links provided on this page as well as some accessories to go along with the toy such as a Tactical Vest which can hold spare darts, spare reload clips, flashlights, and other equipment the kids are going to bring to the Nerf battle field.  So, you might want to add some extras to go along with the Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS like maybe a blaster or a mini-blaster or some Nerf foam Grenades.  Make sure your little warrior is prepared and well equipped.  Fair warning though, be prepared for some target practice on the family pets and the child’s siblings.
